Rebranding and relaunching a business

20/7/2017

Waterlilies is a family run beauty salon in Stapleford on the outskirts of Cambridge. But despite having been established for nearly 10 years, the two sisters who own the salon felt they were not maximising their business potential.

Enter Catfish Web Design and our marketing partner, Keystone Marketing.

It quickly became obvious that Waterlilies had built up an excellent reputation over the years due to their high level of knowledge and expertise. They are approachable and have a great rapport with their clients who regard them as honest and trustworthy. The salon offers a wide range of treatments and a high level of service. So we had a great foundation to build on.

The first problem we needed to deal with was dated and inconsistent branding which meant a new logo and a new website. This was to be a complete makeover.

The new logo which did not even appear on the old website is now being rolled out over their social media, enewsletter, print and advertising.

The revamped website is fresh and clean with more engaging imagery and clear calls to action. An online booking system is in the pipeline.

But great branding and website are not enough on their own. Waterlilies needed a marketing strategy firmly targeted at the clients they wished to attract. This involved research to outline all target audiences, messages and routes to market. We held a workshop with the owners of the salon to delve into the key essence and opportunities and assess their current activity. This dynamic discussion formed the beginnings of their marketing strategy.

We also provided social media training which included best practice use of key platforms of value to the business and a discussion of content, style, frequency and monitoring.  Training can be an one off process but we are also open to clients liaising with us on a regular basis to ensure they are keeping on the right track. It’s all tailored to the available budget.

We are currently developing a tailored press list and producing a press release.

Waterlilies are delighted with their new online presence but there's more work to be done...

So what do the clients, Alison and Helen Jones, say?

"Jane at Catfish designed our new website. We wanted a clean, fresh, beautiful and professional looking website and she certainly delivered. Our deadline was met and Jane made sure all the loose ends were tied up and stayed calm! Jane has not only produced a great website but put us in touch with other professionals who we have also been working with on our marketing strategy.

We have already received compliments from our clients and there is defiantly a higher amount of enquiries from the website, it’s only been a few days since the launch. All in all we are very happy and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Catfish Web Design."
