The Manor Barn Harlton - A case study
17/6/2018
The Manor Barn in Harlton approached us last year concerned that their website was letting them down and did not reflect the beautiful venue and the premium wedding planning they offer.
There are numerous quirky and unusual wedding venues in the Cambridgeshire area, so businesses really need to make an extra special effort to ensure that their website shows them to their best advantage and helps them to stand out from the crowd.
The existing website would have looked fine it its heyday but had not moved on with new styles and technology. In addition, the client was using a handmade logo which was very low resolution and only available as a Word document – no one had any idea what the fonts were.
It seemed like a good opportunity to rebrand and position The Manor Barn as a luxury venue with a difference.

So, what did we do to turn things around for the client?
- We made far more use of the fantastic photos available.
- Provided clear entry points for visitors to the core services offered by The Manor Barn.
- Displayed testimonials in a more enticing way.
- Set up a proper wedding gallery for brides and grooms to scroll through which works beautifully on phones too which is where a lot of couples do their browsing.
- Made sure downloadable menus are now all consistently branded with the new logo.
- Added a blog so that the client can start making more use of their social media platforms.
Owner, Paula Banks, says: “Jane and the team have been incredibly patient, helpful and professional throughout the entire web building process. I thoroughly recommend Catfish Web Design.”
